Through the analysis of these three parameters we can know if what is missing up to 100% Productivity is due to Availability, Performance or Quality.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"verde martop-1\">Availability<\/h3>\n<p> <strong>Availability<\/strong> is calculated by dividing the time the machine has been producing<b>(Operating Time<\/b>) by the time the machine could have been producing and did not. The time that the machine could have been producing<b>(Planned Production Time<\/b>) is the total time minus the periods in which it was not planned to produce.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"verde martop-1\">Performance<\/h3>\n<p>The <strong>Yield<\/strong> or Efficiency is obtained by dividing the number of parts actually produced by the number of parts that could have been produced. The number of parts that could have been produced is obtained by multiplying the time in production by the production capacity or speed of the machine.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"verde martop-1\">Quality<\/h3>\n<p> <strong>Quality<\/strong> is calculated by subtracting defective units from all units manufactured. Quality losses involve both losses due to poorly manufactured units and Productive Time losses, the time spent to manufacture the defective units. They may also include reprocessing time or the cost of disposing of or recycling defective units.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/doeet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/grafico-calculo-oee-1.png\" alt=\"OEE calculation\" width=\"710\" height=\"345\" class=\"float-center martop-2\"><\/p>\n<h4>Loss on availability (B)<\/h4>\n<p>Machines are idle for too long: product changeover, breakdowns, no work order, no raw material.<\/p>\n<h4>Yield Losses (D)<\/h4>\n<p>Machines do not run at the desired speed: Low speeds due to problems with raw material, snagging, micro stoppages, lack of machine adjustment.<\/p>\n<h4>Quality Losses (F)<\/h4>\n<p>Too many defective parts are manufactured: defective raw material, poor machine adjustment, lack of quality control.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"verde\">How to know your productivity through OEE calculation<\/h2>\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at a case study or example of how to calculate productivity and the OEE indicator in your company.
